Honest, reliable and friendly. Swedemasters is THE best place for Volvo repairs. I have 2 Volvo station wagons and I won't trust them to anyone else. Tim Kitt, the owner, is the nicest guy around. And did I mention honest? I always feel respected when I'm there and he's always happy to tell me when something is going to cost less than what I expected. I cannot recommend Swedemasters enough!

Tim is a rare combination of pleasant, honest with excellent service. He takes the time to explain potential and all necessary issues your car may be experiencing. Whether you drive a Saab or you’re an old hippie 50 yrs out of date with a Volvo, he’s the best in town

Gem of Santa Barbara, this place has extended the life of my aging Mini Cooper. When I first moved to SB, I had engine troubles, and they researched and found a way to blast out the engine with shells, and my car has run like new since. Tim went above and beyond to fix and repair a few things that were broken, like my cracked front plastic piece, and they have always taken care of me. Can't recommend enough!

There are not enough words---or stars---to thank Tim and Swedemasters for fixing my a/c. I trusted a local mechanic in 2014. He told me it would either be 1200 or 2000 buck fix but that in any case, they needed to tear the thing apart (which would be 350 or so). I had been treated well by this mechanic and they'd always done great work. Moral of the story: 1) ALWAYS get a second opinion and 2) NEVER trust a Saab (especially with a/c) to a non-Swedish mechanic/shop. I have been suffering without a/c a few months a year in LA for 8 years. I moved to NYC in 2015 so it wasn't full-time but I didn't care what it cost. Since I've gotten new brakes, radiator, power steering, and intend to keep this Saab 9/3 2007 2.0T (doesn't feel like a turbo anymore!) for five or more years, even 2K would have been worth it. They cannot find the leak but suspect there is a very minor one. The dye will help in the event that the refrigerant leaks out. I'm still in shock. I wish I had come to Swedemasters back in 2014.
