They take great care of my S60R and are able to do top notch dealership quality work at a much better rate. If you want the best go to the masters. _john M

Excellent and dependable service. Wouldn't take my car anywhere else!

Before my V70R was totaled, I used these guys for all of my oil changes and any issues I couldn't diagnose on my own. I think the guy in the office is Bob and he's very pleasant to work with. They're conveniently located if you work downtown. They're good guys who seem to know they're stuff. They're a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Take your Volvo to Jiffy Lube if you'd like, I'd rather have someone who knows my car doing the routine maintenance so they can alert me of potential problems, before they become problems. Honest business. Enjoy.

In the 34 years that I’ve been taking my cars to mechanics in both LA and SB, Swedemasters is, hands down, the most honest and ethical shop that I’ve been to. Tim, the owner, has been taking care of my ’88 Saab for 13 years now, bringing it back from “the dead” twice. Not only are Tim, Bob, and the other mechanics always friendly, patient, and professional, but they diagnose correctly, stand by their quotes without tacking on additional costs later, and guarantee their work. When the diagnosis is difficult, they proceed cautiously, giving you enough information, options, and time to make a decision before committing to a repair. I see some reviews here say they’re pricey. Not only do you get what you pay for, but the investment has always been worth the personal treatment, the quality workmanship, and the peace of mind that my car is in the best of hands.

SwedeMasters do excellent work. Tim (the owner) is an absolute gent and takes the time to fully explain the repairs your car needs. He goes above and beyond all reasonable expectations to ensure prompt and thorough service. I will not take my Volvo to any other mechanic on the Central Coast.

This is the only place I would take my Volvo in Santa Barbara. They were extremely knowledgeable about the repair needed and didn't push anything else extra on me. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a respectable shop for their Saab or Volvo. Take it here and get specialized service rather than going to some "one size fits all garage."

Tim and the gang at SwedeMasters do a FANTASTIC job! Every time that I have taken in my 1999 s70 for repair or maintenance, I have been extremely happy with the service. They are skilled mechanics who know their stuff in addition to being wonderful people who are friendly and happy to help.

Swedemasters is the only place that we take our Volvo. In fact it's the reason we continue to get volvos, and one of the reasons why we stayed in Santa Barbara-no seriously...lol! I know every time we take our car in it is in excellent hands. We trust them implicitly. They have bent over backwards time after time to accommodate us!!

SwedeMasters were recommended to me by friends five years ago. I have had both a brand new Volvo and a very old model serviced here and have been happy with quality and thoroughness of the maintenance and repairs. On the old Volvo I bought from my sister, I especially have appreciated Tim's help in prioritizing which items are practical and cost effective to repair. Plus, all of the staff are incredibly nice and professional.

I had a 2003 Saab 9-3 which had quite a few issues. The problem with Saabs is that so few mechanics who know what they are doing work on them. I was fortunate enough to discover Swedemasters, they worked on my Saab several times and when it mattered most they saved me a ton of money by replacing a few sensors ($200-$300) instead of replacing the transmission ($4,000+) like the dealer had told me that I needed to. It was a good enough of a fix to trade it in for a new car and get a very good price for it (much more than it was worth). The customer service has always been very good, every mechanic that I have dealt with always took the time to explain to me what needed to be done and why, they have never pushed anything on me (maybe because I know cars?). They are always professional, honest, fair and accommodating. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a Saab or a Volvo.
