I had a 2003 Saab 9-3 which had quite a few issues. The problem with Saabs is that so few mechanics who know what they are doing work on them. I was fortunate enough to discover Swedemasters, they worked on my Saab several times and when it mattered most they saved me a ton of money by replacing a few sensors ($200-$300) instead of replacing the transmission ($4,000+) like the dealer had told me that I needed to. It was a good enough of a fix to trade it in for a new car and get a very good price for it (much more than it was worth). The customer service has always been very good, every mechanic that I have dealt with always took the time to explain to me what needed to be done and why, they have never pushed anything on me (maybe because I know cars?). They are always professional, honest, fair and accommodating. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a Saab or a Volvo.

In the 34 years that I’ve been taking my cars to mechanics in both LA and SB, Swedemasters is, hands down, the most honest and ethical shop that I’ve been to. Tim, the owner, has been taking care of my ’88 Saab for 13 years now, bringing it back from “the dead” twice. Not only are Tim, Bob, and the other mechanics always friendly, patient, and professional, but they diagnose correctly, stand by their quotes without tacking on additional costs later, and guarantee their work. When the diagnosis is difficult, they proceed cautiously, giving you enough information, options, and time to make a decision before committing to a repair. I see some reviews here say they’re pricey. Not only do you get what you pay for, but the investment has always been worth the personal treatment, the quality workmanship, and the peace of mind that my car is in the best of hands.

I've been going to Swedemasters for over 7 years. The staff is so dependable, the front desk so reliable with call backs, estimates, etc. The work is always done on schedule and they've always called if there is a hangup with any part. I can't recommend them highly enough. I've got a funny model Saab that was made for just 2 years and I feel they have me covered on service and repair for this oddball car. Integrity and Value.

My vehicle has over 150k on the clock and runs like it's brand new, thanks to these guys. Their recommended maintenance is spot-on. Since these guys have been maintaining the car, I've literally seen my fuel economy increase from 24MPG to 28MPG on the highway. Honest and excellent service.

These guys are great. I took my car to them in the morning and had it back by early afternoon that same day. Best part was they only charged me for a half hr of labor, because the problem them found was so small. I will be going back!
