Karen who runs the office is so knowledgeable, patient and awesome. Tim, the owner (who is also super friendly and nice) is so lucky to have her. Any time I’ve called with questions she gives her whole attention to me, gives me all my options and I trust her opinion and advise 110%. I am so happy to have a mechanic I trust and despite having available appointments when I needed, they have always got me taken care of quickly. Fair pricing, honest , friendly & experienced. They will be who I take my car to forever.

Great service and people

After some less than desirable encounters with our local Volvo dealer we brought our XC90 to SwedeMasters and we couldn’t be happier. Not only do the perform excellent work, this establishment is extremely ethical. If you have the opportunity to have your car serviced by Tim and Karen you’ll surely be a repeat customer.

This is an excellent shop. From the first phone call to set up an appointment, right through the repair process, to picking up your car, this is a quality act. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and explains everything they are recommending and will do to get your car back on the road. Wish they did wider range of cars in addition to Volvos and BMW’s, and then we would take all our cars to Swedemasters!

Consistently excellent service over more than a decade. Tim is a master mechanic and has always been genuinely willing to explain the work my 2002 has needed over the years. I can’t recommend Swedemasters more highly.

Swede Masters did an excellent job recently (Dec 2021) on our 2015 Volvo XC 60 with nearly 60,000 miles. We bought the Volvo in Houston new in 2015 with a 100,000 mile warranty. We have been servicing the Volvo at the Calabasas Volvo Dealer. The Calabasas Volvo dealer closed down in 11/2021 and we were advised to go to the Volvo dealer in Van Nuys for any future work. In November 2021, our Volvo developed a problem which caused problems for the vehicle stalling and not starting. My wife was at a light in Santa Maria where the car went dead and wouldn't start. Horns honked at us and it was very stressful. Eventually we got the car to start and she drove home. to Santa Barbara. We had options, tow the car to the Van Nuys Volvo dealer for repair (3 weeks without a car) or try and repair the car at Swede Masters in Santa Barbara (less than 2 weeks). After many phone calls with Volvo, they agreed to approve Swede Masters. We went with Swede Masters and picked up the car today after they had the car for about 10 days. Swede Masters did excellent diagnostics and a resulting repair job (replace the starter). We will be using Swede Masters from now on. Nice job Tim.

Always accommodating. Drove in without an appointment to check a bulb failure. Took me right away. Also checked the oil and washer fluid. Asked to check tire pressure as I was making a long distance drive. Did all of it with hesitation.
